Center City YMCAs - Y Readers Giving Challenge - Team 1
Did you know? Being able to read at grade level by the end of third grade is one of the top determinants on whether or not a child will graduate high school Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools have one of the lowest reading proficiency rates in the state of North Carolina, with less than 40% of students reading at grade level by the end of third grade.
Please join the board members of the Center City YMCAs as we raise critical funds for the Y’s literacy program, Y Readers. This nationally recognized literacy program is offered at no charge to students who are falling behind.
Thanks to the generosity of the Leon Levine Foundation, all gifts up to $30,000 received August 1-31 will be matched dollar for dollar!
